What goes through your mind when you hear the words “kissing fish”?
Do you think it is a storefront spa on a busy street where you sit down alongside upwards of 20 strangers and plunk your bare feet in one of a dozen tanks of water (where, presumably, the bare feet of many others have been before) and you allow the fish living in said tank to eat the dead skin off your feet?
It’s like a living pumice stone.
On our recent trip to China we declined the “kissing fish” experience, but we were fascinated with the ubiquity of these spas all over the Yangshuo region.
Kiss my feet indeed!
